The business intelligence team plays a key role at AbleTo, as data is integral to nearly everything that we do. The director will bring technical leadership to the team, ensure that we are implementing business intelligence best practices, and act as the face of BI to the senior leadership level. They will also partner cross functionally with department owners to identify and prioritize opportunities to inject analytics and use of data to improve performance. Finally, the director will be a strategic problem solver, partnering with the senior leadership team to address client, operations, and strategic questions leveraging data/analytics to drive insight and action.

Strategic Advisor

  • Support Product in development of business case and insights required to optimize new product design.
  • Support Enterprise Growth in providing superior reporting and insights for clients.

Support Engagement and Clinical Operations to optimize client acquisition and quality treatment initiatives

  • Point person for client, operation, and senior leadership strategic analysis. Partner with leadership to use data/analytics to drive changes in company. For example, develop insights into areas such as line of business dynamics (Medicare Advantage, Managed Medicaid, Commercial), client populations, and multi-product optimization.
  • Translate business objectives into strategic plans with a medium to long term view
  • Prioritize business intelligence projects based on company objectives

Technical Leadership

  • Serve as a technical thought leader to the business intelligence team
    • Lead the enhancement of AbleTo s reporting and analytics capabilities
    • Build out reporting architecture and infrastructure
    • Empower analytics/reporting throughout organization
  • Drive the continuous improvement of team s capabilities & tools
  • Own the development of data team documentation and the maintenance of a data dictionary
  • Work with the engineering team to establish high-quality data governance rules to ensure clean data for reporting
  • Mentor and manage a team of analysts

  • BS or Masters in Computer Science, Economics, Operations Research, or other related discipline. MBA or MPH strongly preferred
  • Experience at strategy consulting firm strongly preferred (e.g., Bain, Oliver Wyman, McKinsey, BCG, etc)
  • Experience with healthcare analytics
  • 8+ years relevant work experience
  • 4+ years managing internal or external stakeholder relationships
  • 2+ years of experience managing a team of analysts


  • Excellent problem solving skills
  • Superior communication skills, both written and presentation
  • Strong familiarity with BI tools such as Looker, Tableau, Qlik, or Cognos
  • Experience working on GCP and/or AWS platforms is a plus
  • Experience presenting complex technical issues to non technical audiences
